Grafted Coatings (KTM) was conceptualized during 1988 and founded in 1992 with the belief waterborne coating products were needed for the window and door industry. Coatings had to be both environmentally friendly and of highest quality.  Tremendous change in the millwork industry has happened since and the scope of coating products needed for the industry has gone from wood and aluminum to products made of fiberglass, PVC, and various other composites.  KTM has established itself as a manufacturer of high quality, low VOC's, waterborne products for various industries. We have developed products that keep us at the cutting edge in the coatings industry. Our industrial customers depend on us to supply consistent and reliable products in a timely fashion.

KTM is a family owned and operated company, with the ability to respond quickly to customer needs that many of today's companies seem unable to. One is always assured of speaking directly with a technician willing to respond to your needs in a prompt and courteous fashion.  At KTM we not only produce and develop our coatings, we also use them everyday with our in-house door finishing.  We have pioneered the prefinished door market in the North East and have finished thousands of doors throughout New England, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.  When you call for technical service on KTM products you'll speak directly with a technician who has first-hand experience with the coating system. We strive to design and produce the best product possible on a daily basis and continually seek to lead the industry with innovations in waterborne coating technology.

Since our inception as a company we have always been both low VOC and HAPS-free.  Environmental issues and concerns are the foundation for the engineering of our coatings systems.  All of our systems meet or exceed both federal and state regulations and provide the best anti-mold and anti-fungal properties.
